What is Online Giving?
Online Giving is a way for parishioners to make contributions to St. Joseph Church through a secure website. Donations are deducted from your bank account or charged to your credit card when it’s convenient for you. Contributions are automatically deposited into the parish’s bank account.

What are the advantages
of Online Giving?
It is easy for you to support the parish, even when you are unable to attend a weekend Mass at St. Joe. You also don’t have to remember to bring your envelope, cash, or checks to church.

Is Online Giving safe?
Online Giving meets the highest banking-level security standards set forth by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) to ensure safe and confidential transactions. In fact, your banking information is encrypted in the system and is not accessible to any users or administrators of the Online Giving system. When you manage your own account information, the church never needs to handle checks or worry about locking up documents containing your account information. And you’ll always be certain that your gifts are direct-deposited into the church’s account.

Can I put different amounts in offerings and have
all of them withdrawn at different times?
Yes, you can contribute to different offerings at different times. Currently, only some of our various collections are available in the online program. Diocesan-administered collections, such as Worldwide Evangelization or Peter’s Pence, aren’t available online and you’ll still need to use the envelope from your envelope packet to support these programs.

How much does Online Giving cost?
It costs you absolutely nothing to make your church donations online! The parish will cover the small fees. Parishioners who use a credit card for their donation can choose to cover the credit card company fees by checking the box to defray the processing fee. This extra donation will be recorded on your giving record and will help the parish, too. Parents paying their school tuition with a credit card will be billed a convenience fee.

Can I stop receiving contribution envelopes through the mail if I sign
up for Online Giving?
Your envelope packets usually contain envelopes for diocesan-administered collections that aren’t included in the online software. We encourage our parishioners to use the envelopes in their packets for these important causes.

What if I try Online
Giving and don’t like it?
You can cancel your authorization by cancelling your gifts and donation dates at any time.

Can I pay my school tuition through Online Giving?
Yes, parents can use Online Giving to pay their tuition using their bank account or credit card. Payments can be made monthly, biannually, or annually following the school’s normal tuition due dates. Parents using a credit or debit card to pay their tuition will be billed an annual $75 convenience fee by the school.
